The life and times of Mark and Paula Persons

September 4, 2010:  Mark and Paula visited Stillwater, MN.  It is a river town and a tourist destination for people from around the world.  On the city's east side is the St. Croix River, which the dividing line between Minnesota, on the left, and Wisconsin on the right.

Seagulls watch crowds as they tour the city and waterfront.

The Stillwater Marina is home to many expensive riverboats.

Sometimes the boats are large enough so the lift bridge needs to rise up to let them through while car traffic waits.

There is the signpost up ahead!  The nearby St. Croix Vineyards is a big attraction for thousands of visitors as well.  On the Minnesota side of the river, it is fast becoming a big favorite in the region.
Grapes, grapes, and more grapes.  They grow them and make wine right there at the vineyard.
Apples are big there too.  Paula likes the gala and honey crisp varieties.

A tour of the winery, conducted by Noah Henstad, was extremely informative.  It was fun seeing the process of growing, harvesting, fermenting, and bottling their fine wines.  Noah is describing the bottling machine in this end of the plant.

Noah drinks red wine.  That is why he says his hair is red.  Mark drinks white wine and that is apparently why his hair is turning white.

Where is the Dynamic Duo of Mark and Paula headed next?  It is a FAIR assumption that they will be where the food is.
