July 12, 2009:  This Sunday afternoon, Paula and Mark used a GPS(Global Positioning System) receiver and went on a geocache hunt.  They found four hidden caches near Pine River, MN, in about an hour and a half.  This one was hiding in a pine tree.  Find out more at http://www.geocaching.com

Another was hiding under a large metal pipe in a wooded area.

When in the Pine River area, it is good to stop at the famous Shamp's Meat Market.  They have been selling great meats for many many years. 

Back at the ranch Gilbert Lodge, Paula cooked her acclaimed Garlic Lime Chicken for dinner.  Way to go, Paula!   

Later, it was out on Gilbert Lake in the Minnow with Paula "Gilligan" Persons piloting the vessel.

July 14, 2009:  A summer storm brought 4.5 inches of rainfall in less than 2 hours.  No damage.  We needed every drop of water that we could get for the lake and the lawn.
