June 7, 2009:  Paula is out with the neighbor kids having a camp fire on the lake side of Gilbert Lodge. 

Later in the evening she is in the Reading Nook with Josie the cat.    

June 8, 2009:  Lilacs are in bloom this spring and the smell is wonderful.    

Paula's mountain dulcimer group came to Gilbert Lodge for dinner.  (l-r) Archie, Ginny, Linda, Paula, Dale, Ruthie, and Al.  On the menu were oven-baked chicken, Paula's secret crock-pot beans, home-made cole slaw, and potato salad.  No one walked away hungry from this heavenly meal.

Speaking of heavenly, Archie Friends and his wife Ginny are retiring in June.  Archie spent his working life as a Lutheran minister.  The crew congratulated them and enjoyed the cake with New York vanilla ice cream.

The mountain dulcimer musical group has been making beautiful music once a month for the past 19 years.
