June 27, 2009:  Paula and Josie are out checking the wild flowers on the grounds at Gilbert Lodge.

Later, Paula is cooking Alaskan king salmon on the grill.

She added fresh Minnesota sweet corn and her famous Bow-Tie Salad with feta cheese, tomatoes, red grapes, shallots, olive oil, and Balsamic vinegar.

Whoever said, "Money can't buy happiness," obviously hasn't eaten at Gilbert Lodge.       

Then, out on Gilbert Lake, we spotted a blue heron on a diving raft.

Minnesota loons are a common site on this sky-blue water.  Here, mama and papa show their young one the lake.

Yes, there is plenty to see on Gilbert Lake.
