         The life and times of Mark and Paula Persons

May 31, 2009:  Paula is washing windows at Gilbert Lodge with the help of Josie the cat. 

For dinner, she cooked ham steaks with here secret glazing on a natural gas bar-b-q at the Promenade Deck in Gilbert Lodge.    

Paula certainly has flare for cooking or is it a flare-up on the glazed ham.  Not to worry, the flames died down after just a few seconds.  Paula, what did you put in that glazing?      

On the table with au gratin potatoes and baked beans compliments of Captain Ken.  it tasted great.

Even Josie loved the weather on the deck.       

June 4. 2009:  It is back out on Gilbert Lake on the Minnow again to see Minnesota Loons and other wildlife.

Upon returning, Mark "The Skipper" Persons piloted the Minnow to the dock and then slipped it into reverse to slow the motion.  Paula "Gilligan" Persons was at the bow and lost here balance.  She went a.. over tea kettle into the water.  Man Woman overboard!!!  Fortunately, Paula is a SCUBA divers so she is no stranger to water.  Both were laughing so hard that it took a moment to recover from the experience and snap this picture of Paula trailing water as she walked onto the dock.  She looked something like a drowned rat at that moment.       

Late in the evening, the sun set over the western shore of this part of Gilbert Lake.  A fitting end to an interesting and exciting day.
