         The life and times of Mark and Paula Persons

April 11, 2009:  The annual Easter Egg Hunt is run by Brainerd Parks and Recreation and sponsored by Brainerd Rotary.  Granite City Jobbing provided the candy at a very reasonable price.  The event was held at Lum Park on the east side of Brainerd, MN.  Here, 27 or so Rotary volunteers and helpers posed for a quick photo.  Next to the right is Bonnie from Brainerd Parks and Recreation.           

Long before the event officially started, Rotarians put candy into bags.  On this day, no less than 550 bags were stuffed to be given away.

Soon, plastic Easter eggs are distributed on the park grounds for children to find later.         

The public showed up and filled the park. 

Paula "Easter Bunny" Persons was there to greet the kids and give them a big hug.            

Many photos were taken to remember the event. 

Soon, they were off to find the plastic Easter eggs.            

Then it was back to the starting point to deposit the eggs.

Candy was given to the many happy children at the park.          

More smiles.  A fun time was had by all at this public event.

The remaining candy was distributed to local nursing homes by Paula "Easter Bunny" Persons.     

Joke of the Day:  A good friend is someone who considers you a good egg even though he knows you are slightly cracked.
