March 14, 2009: It is the weekend before St. Patrick's Day. The annual St. Patrick's Day Parade in Crosslake, MN, is ready to begin. Crosslake is about 30 miles north of Brainerd. Everyone seems to be dressed for the occasion. |
|
The American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars start off the event.
|
|
The rest of the parade follows with smiling faces.
|
|
There were even horse-drawn entries.
Some commercial entries thrilled the onlookers.
Green was certainly the color of the day.
There must be a pot o' gold at Moonlight Bay.
Aye mate, Whitefish Lodge has pirates too.
Nice to see law enforcement on well-groomed horses.
After the parade, Paula and Mark were seen at a St.
Patrick's Day party in Crosslake. Mark is sporting his green leprechaun
ears. Paula is more sensible in showing the green.

|
The party was hosted by Mary Campbell, known as
Mary O'Campbell on St. Patrick's Day every year.
Mary served a wonderful menu including nicely decorated cookies for dessert.
Everyone had a great time.
