         The life and times of Mark and Paula Persons

December 5, 2009:  Paula was in at the Grand Meander event in St. Paul on Grand Avenue.  Paula is trying chestnuts roasted on an open fire (Bar-B-Q).  They were terrific.  It is a fun way to shop in St. Paul.

We learned that you need to score the outside of the chestnuts before cooking so they will not explode when the water inside turns to steam.  The chestnuts had a moist inside with a distinctive taste that you could get to like.

Paula was caught in the arms of another man!  Should Mark be worried?  Should Mrs. Santa be worried?

Music was everywhere that day.

The music included a harp and a hammered dulcimer.  Paula pays the hammered dulcimer on occasion.

Mark finally caught up with Santa at the Irish on Grand.  Santa was playing a bag pipe.  They squared it all away about Santa and Paula kissing.  All was well again.

Santa is a funny guy and it led Mark to say, "Santa...you sleigh me."

That night, Mark and Paula dined at Brit's in downtown Minneapolis.  It was fish and chips....of course!
