January 9, 2009:  Mark and Paula were at Kurt and Linda Hanson's place for dinner.  It was the result of a charity contribution to the Brainerd Rotary Club

Hors-D-Oeuvres were served with wine and good conversation.

(l-r) Jody and Dennis Drummond from Brainerd joined Mark and Paula for the dinner.
The salad was terrific. 
This is how the menu came out:

Wine and cheese

Potato leek soup with chiffonade of basil

Deconstructed salad with mixed greens
Balsamic vinaigrette

Pan seared shrimp with spinach & mushroom pasta roll

Olive-Stuffed Pork Tenderloin
Roasted new potatoes with rosemary
Green beans amandine

Vanilla ice cream with bourbon apple pear sauce

Dennis is in the wine business and knows what he is talking about.  He is being served by Dana Hanson.  Chef Kurt and daughter Alexa are in the background.
The main course was as tasty as anything found in the finest restaurants. 
On the left, Linda was a great hostess.  She is also a past-president of the Brainerd Rotary Club.

On the right, Jody is watching carefully.  She is a restaurant consultant.   

Chef Kurt and Dana made sure all went well.
