July 26, 2008: Mark and Paula are showing Darrell and Nancy Briley from Darien, CT, the sights of the Brainerd Lakes Area. Here they are at the Pine River Tourist Information Center along with an agriculturally painted Babe the Blue Ox. |
July 27, 2008:
Mark and Paula celebrate the 86th birthday of Dad (Chester "Chet" Timman) on the
deck at Gilbert Lodge. Chet served every day of World War II in
the U.S. Navy and is now retired from the home heating business. Paula served her famous Key Lime Pie for dessert. What a treat. |
A daughter and father resemblance was noted while riding "The Minnow" on Gilbert Lake that wind-blown day. |
August 2, 2008: A spectacular ending to a perfect summer day at Gilbert lodge. Peering through the pines, sky colors at sunset were accurately reflected in Gilbert Lake where "The Minnow" sits awaiting her fearless crew to return with more visitors to set out on another adventure cruise. |
