A prayer was given and a
bugler played taps.
It was hauntingly beautiful as the sound

Snow started falling.
Peeking through the pine trees, you can see it landed on and stuck to a
thin layer of ice on Gilbert Lake. Usually there is enough ice so
people can
walk on it by Thanksgiving.

To fill out the day, Chef
Paula cooked Cabbage Rolls in the Galley at
Gilbert Lodge. The recipe is from the
TJ Hirst Web site
on October 24th. Paula added fresh squash and green beans to
