February 25, 2007 The 1988 model John Deere snow thrower started on the first pull after sitting idle in the garage for four months. It is a great American-made product to be proud of. Mark is shown here clearing snow from the Gilbert Lodge main drive-through. After the initial sweep to get most of the snow off, he went back and did the final clean-up at high-speed. Temperatures were in the mid-20's with little wind making the job relatively easy. The driveway is always cleared early so as not to inconvenience the guests at Gilbert Lodge. Eleven-inches of new snow fell March 1st and 2nd bringing the total to 20 inches. |
