July 19, 2005 A Turtle Power Meter was installed at Gilbert Lodge. This automatic power meter reading system makes it possible for Brainerd Public Utilities to read the power meter daily. Up until now, a meter person read the meter on a monthly basis. (l-r) Carl Kezar, Turtle Meter Specialist, and Jim Herman, Brainerd Electrical Inspector, handled the installation and system check-out. Carl is a retired U.S. Marine, and Jim worked as an electrician for many years. They are sporting green BPU (Brainerd Public Utility) hats. |
