November 3, 2003 The new Kohler 22,000 watt standby power generator is pushed into place with a fork lift and three men. The generator is now bolted to the concrete pad. It has a four-cylinder Ford car engine and will run on propane gas. The generator will supply the power needs of the entire house and office when city power fails. November 3, 2003 The electrical room is coming along nicely too. Supply cables from two of the six electrical panels go across the ceiling and to house outlets. The empty spot the the right is where the power transfer panel will be installed. It will be connected to the standby power generator and will automatically transfer the load. Using this system, power outages last less than 15 seconds. The electrical panel on the left side is for the isolated ground computer loads. (Click on the photo or here for a larger view.) |

November 3, 2003 The two Lennox furnaces are connected. They were supplied and installed by Thelen Heating of Brainerd. To the left, on the wall, is an air exchanger. On the right are a water heater and water softener. (Click on the photo or here for a larger view.) |
