![]() Tuesay, March 4, 2025: Outside of tourism the main industry in Bonaire is salt production. Sea water is dried in large flat areas and salt is harvested. ![]() There is a pier where ships are loaded with salt for the world market. ![]() Tourists stop to see these slave huts. Back in the day, slaves were used in the salt production industry. Slavery was abolished in 1863. ![]() Wind surfing is popular on Bonaire where wind blows most of the time. ![]() Every island needs a lighthouse or two. Some tour the island on golf cart type vehicles. ![]() Dutch brought traditional wind mills to pump water, something they know well. ![]() The Caribbean Sea crashes on the shore. ![]() Another crusie ship. This one the Celebrity Beyond. ![]() Paula was out diving in the clear waters again. ![]() ![]() ![]() Sunsets were worth seeing on Bonaire. ![]() Did you ever try Goat?
