Thursday, January 30, 2025: Paula and her friend Jean Schaeffer headed out for a winter walk on Gilbert Lake ice.



They noticed plenty of fish houses and fishermen ahead.



When investigating, they found a Deparment of Natural Resources officer inspecting a fishing hole.



After the officer left, there was a bite.



That is when Leon Yonick pulled up a nice size Northern.
