Thursday, September 12, 2024: Mark and Paula visited ETC (Electricronic Theatre Control) in Middleton, Wisconsin. A very impressive wntryway that looke like downtown New York. Tour gude Erica Abbot said lighting for architecture and theatre is where the company started in 1975. Today they make LED updates for lighting and lighting controllers. This is a 410,000 squard foot manufacturing and repair facility. Lots of tools for what they manufacture. Employees unwind on the Bear Stairs. The average employee age is 37. Some 720 are employed here with a company total of 1500 world-wide. Some of the light is natural with clouds painted on glass to give the feeling of being outside. Paula liked the dragon, which is used to dispense packing peanuts in the shipping area! It was a busy place. ECT ships world-wide with annual sales of $168,000,000. |
Quote of the day: A very impressive place. Glad to see they are an American company. Mark | < Back to previous story | Ahead to next story |
