Wednesday, March 27, 2024: Spring, and especially March, is the time for a winter storm in Minnesota.
The National Weather Service predicted plenty of snow.

The storm started on Sunday. Paula settled into reading after church while the snow gently fell.

Meanwhile, Mark was out with a snow thrower clearing the driveway six times over the course of the storm.

Neighbor Jerry Sinner did his snow clearing after dark.

Friend Karen Hietpas on the north end of Gilbert Lake reported ice along the shore, but the lake was open.

Gilbert Lodge is on a narrower section of Gilbert Lake and that part froze over, as seen on Wednesday morning.
In all, some 12.5 inches of snow was recorded at Gilbert Lodge during this weather event.

Quote of the day:    Spring weather is always interesting.  Mark < Back to previous story Ahead to next story >
