Thursday, December 21, 2023, 7 am: Overlooking the Illinois River from the Embassy Suites in Peoria, Illinois. Mark and Paula toured the Peoria Riverfront Museum where they found this interesting automobile. Billed as the Peoria Motor Trap, it was built in 1896 by Duryea, which they say was the first American car company. The Caterpillar Visitor Center Museum was just next door. They make huge machines for mining and much more. Paula thought one of these would be good for getting around town in the winter! Mark was sure the Caterpillar Ten from 1929 would be good for yard work. |
Mark and Paula were having a great
time on their trip to Nashville and beyond. |
Quote of the day: Stay tuned for one last stop on the adventure. Mark | < Back to previous story | Ahead to next story > |
