Thursday, December 14, 2023:
History buffs Mark and Paula traveled to a Civil War battleground, just south of Nashville, TN.




Modern day Nashville can be seen from high atop Shy's Hill.





It was December 16, 1864, that southern troops clashed with Minnesota and Illinois troops.
The north won the day in the engagement sometimes known as the Battle of Nashville.

Relics of the past remind us of this tragic time in American history.
