Thursday, May 14,
2020: Paula
has done stained glass work for years. Just another of her many
hobbies. This time, she decided to make a bird feeder in the Craft Room wihere there is a workbench and good lighting. |
After cutting
glass pieces, she ground them to shape, then put copper foil on the
edges. She laid them out to see how they would come together. Sometimes more grinding is required. |
Paula used a 100 watt iron to solder
the pieces together. |
Then a two-inch wide copper strip was
used to join two almost identical glass panels using an even bigger
iron. |
In the end, it all worked out.
Paula fashioned a copper tray and added bird seed. She probabnly put fourty hours into this one. |
Paula! What kind of a bird is that?? |
Quote of the day: I didn't know she knew how to make a squirrel feeder! Mark | < Back to previous story | Ahead to next story > |
