Sunday, December 21, 2019:   The longest night of the year started with sunset at 4:33 pm on Saturday. 
Sunrise on Sunday was at 7:28 am.  That's 14 hours and 55 minutes of darkness!  Only 9 hours and 5 minues of light. 
 
The Marine Corps League was out a few days later gathering donations to fund the Toys for Kids program.
There is a statue at the Brainerd Public Library depicting book reading.  Not a bad thing, especially at night in the winter.
Paula spent time outdoors, in the short daylight hours, getting rosy cheeks and snow on her hair.  That's Paula!
