Monday, April 30, 2018: Ice on Gilbert Lake was starting to show melting along the shoreline. 
 
Paula decided it was time to take the neighbor's dog out for a walk at Rotary Park in Brainerd.
 
She came across some Pussy Willows that were just starting to come out.
 
 Then she discovered purple Hepatica flowers. 
 
The ice went out of Gilbert Lake overnight.  Yes, this is the "Land of Sky Blue Water."
