Sunday, July 2, 2017:  Arts in the Park, at Gregory Park in Brainerd, is an annual event that draws thousands.
The weather this year was 80 degrees with no rain.

Lots of music too....some of it for sale.

People even had caricatures done to make themselves look even more flattering.

Ying Zhang was there.  Of Chinese ancestry, now a Minnesotan, he is a performing woodwind soloist, as well as being a composer and conductor.

Mark Cross had a booth with his hand-made art.  Paula had plenty of interest and questions.

This 1927 Ford was in the antique/classic car area of the park that day.

A 1957 Nash Metropolitan drew a lot of interest.
Manufactured between 1953 and 1961, the Metropolitan was nothing fancy, but it had a number of loyal followers.

This sub-compact economy car came with a 1200 or 1500 CC engine for buzzing around town.

Paul Imholte was there playing one of his dozen stringed instruments, hence the title, Stringman.

Then there was Doctor Bubble making huge bubbles.  Kids loved it.

There were small bubbles too.

Quote of the day:    Arts in the Park is a don't miss event.  Mark    < Back to previous story Ahead to next story >
