Sunday,
July 2, 2017: Arts in the Park,
at Gregory Park in Brainerd, is
an annual event that draws thousands. The weather this year was 80 degrees with no rain. |
Lots of music too....some of it for sale. |
People even had caricatures done to make
themselves look even more flattering. |
Ying Zhang was there. Of Chinese
ancestry, now a Minnesotan, he is a performing woodwind soloist, as well
as being a composer and conductor. |
Mark Cross had a booth with his hand-made
art. Paula had plenty of
interest and questions. |
This 1927 Ford
was in the antique/classic car area of the park that day. |
A 1957
Nash Metropolitan drew a lot of interest.
Manufactured between 1953 and 1961, the Metropolitan was nothing fancy, but it had a number of loyal followers. |
This sub-compact economy car came with a
1200 or 1500 CC engine for buzzing around town.
|
Paul Imholte
was there playing one of his dozen stringed instruments, hence the
title, Stringman. |
Then there was Doctor Bubble making huge
bubbles. Kids loved it. |
There were small bubbles too. |
Quote of the day: Arts in the Park is a don't miss event. Mark | < Back to previous story | Ahead to next story > |
