Saturday, February 11, 2017:  Middle of winter, but warm weather melted snow from some protected areas under pine trees. 
It is not uncommon to see deer come out and use these areas as these two did that day.
The deer on the left is bashfully hiding behind a small pine tree. 
 
Inside Gilbert Lodge, Paula had a bulb garden to brighten the day.   She has Dutch ancestry and likes tulips.
