Sunday,
December 20, 2015:
Winter
Wonderland at the
Northland Arboretum.
It was also the winter solstice...the shortest day of the year and longest night of the year. Mark chose a walk through night rather than riding in a car. |
There are dozens of light exhibits at
the Arb....a delight for young and old alike. |
Well, now we
know what or who is chopping down trees! |
Nice exhibits
for God and country. |
Mark remembers seeing the Statue
of Liberty in New York Harbor. He was stationed at Fort Monmouth, New Jersey, teaching electronics in the U.S. Army back in the 1960s. |
Yes, there is are two
nice lit tunnels at Winter Wonderland. |
|
Thoughtful displays including a good place for young ladies to take
selfies. |
|
Even Santa likes
skiing at the Arb. |
|
Then, of course, there
were fires to warm up after seeing the displays. |
|
Santa spent his time
inside at the Arb talking to good little boys and girls. Lucky
guy! |
It was all over too soon and time to go home. Those in cars can enjoy what you have seen on this blog plus much more through New Years Eve. |
Quote of the day: The Arb is a great place. Mark | < Back to previous story | Ahead to next story > |
