21, 2015:
Mark stopped at the Leinie Lodge and Leinenkugel Brewery in Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin. They are the seventh oldest brewery in the United States and employ 47 people. |
|
They have a visitor building that is like a hunting lodge. It feels good to be there. |
|
Tours of the brewery are given daily, but no photographs are
allowed inside. Some 250,000 barrels of beer are produced annually. That's 7.75 million gallons! This original brew building is extremely ornate and goes back to 1867. |
Then it is time for
samples of the many varieties of Leinenkugel beer. Eight are year round and some are seasonal favorites like Oktoberfest and Snowdrift Vanilla Porter. They have become very popular in the Midwest. |
