Tuesday, April 7, 2015: 

You know that spring has arrived when a street cleaning machine is seen.

This one was on Riverside Drive.
Warm weather and southerly winds caused ice on Gilbert Lake to thin and then disappear.

It was all-clear on this part of Gilbert Lake by noon on Thursday, April 9th.

Yes, Minnesota is the "Land of Sky-Blue-Water."
Thursday, April 9th.  The first small fishing boat was seen going by that afternoon in 37 degree temperatures.
