August 22,
2014: Mark and Paula were in downtown Minneapolis, Minnesota, to see the sights and visit the statue of Mary Tyler Moore at the intersection of The Nicollet Mall and South 7th Streets. In the background is the famous IDS building. Mark was on the roof of that building last spring. See: http://mwpersons.com/engineer's-log/2014/06-23-14-IDS.htm |
The WCCO Radio and Television Weather
Watcher is on the Nicollet Mall. See it over a substantial part of downtown Minneapolis. Its color tells what the weather forecast is. Nicely done. |

Mark spotted a
Car 2
Go on the street. These little personal transportation vehicles are just large enough to hold two skinny people. You can rent one with a credit card and pay as you go. Interesting idea. |
This interesting scene was
viewed from the 12th floor (Club Floor) of the Millennium Hotel
in downtown Minneapolis. Mirrored windows on the building across the street give an optical illusion of what is happening on the street. |
Hmmm...a Twins bear.
Does this mean a Minnesota Twins baseball game is in the future for Mark and Paula? Stay tuned for the next exciting adventure on this blog! |
Quote of the day: Always fun to visit downtown Minneapolis. Mark | < Back to previous story | Ahead to next story > |
