The life and times of Mark and Paula Persons

Thursday, July 10, 2014:  The Mark and Paula headed to the Minnesota School of Diving.
Paula was there to SCUBA dive and Mark went along to take photos.
Paula spent time kibitzing with Jessica at the dive shop.

Where were they going?

Hmmm...Sleepy Hollow at the Mangan Mine Pit sounds about right.

Easier said than done.

Deep water holes along the way on minimum (if any) maintenance roads.

Then it was time to get suited up.

This procedure takes at least a half hour.

Off to the water they went.

Paula waved goodbye.

They checked their gear in the water while birds hovered overhead like vultures.

Is that a sign of something?

Then there were just bubbles near a dive flag as they descended below the surface.

About ten divers went down that day.

Meanwhile, food was being prepared for when they returned.

That included the bratwurst with cheese that Paula likes.

Paula and her dive buddy were down about 90 minutes.

Divers always look like they are having a bad-hair day when they surface.

Then it was time to tell stories about what they saw or what they would like others to THINK they saw.

Nice sunset that day and the moon was almost full.
Back at the dive shop, Paula told about the big Northern she saw.

Mark says fish look MAGNIFIED underwater.

Quote of the day:  Yes, diving is an interesting sport.   Mark    < Back to previous story Ahead to next story >
