Monday, June 23, 2014:
Mark and Paula headed for the
IDS Center
in downtown Minneapolis, Minnesota. The ground floor Crystal Court is shown on the left. Paula went shopping while Mark headed for the "you are here" sign near the top. |
Mark was then found on the roof consulting to a radio station
on a technical problem. There were plenty of antennas to see above the 57th story of the building. This place dwarfs the Foshay Tower, which was the tallest building in town for many years starting in 1929. The IDS surpassed that in 1972. Five foot nine is all the taller Mark has gotten! |
One of the views from the top of the IDS Center
that day. |
The
skies were a bit hazy so visibility was not unlimited. |
The
Mississippi River more or less separates the Twin Cities. Minneapolis is on the left and St. Paul is on the right. |
Quote of the day: Stay tuned for some night photography. Mark | < Back to previous story | Ahead to next story > |
