         The life and times of Mark and Paula Persons
Saturday, June 21, 2014:   It was boat show time on a sunny afternoon.  Moonlight Bay at Crosslake, Minnesota was the place. 
This annual event draws large crowds of water craft enthusiasts. 
 
The most popular boats are wooden and some are as much as 90 years old. 
 
This is the Elco Cruisetle from 1922.  Beautifully restored and maintained, it is 36 feet of finely crafted wood. 
 
Many craft are nicely appointed inside too. 
 
There were some more modern boats too.  This runabout from the 1950s sports two 18 horse Johnson outboard motors. 
WOW...that's a whopping 36 horsepower!
