The life and times of Mark and Paula Persons

Tuesday, April 29, 2014:

Brainerd's famous concrete water tower at the intersection of Washington and south 6th Streets.

Built over a four year period from 1919 to 1922, it was the first all-concrete water tower used by a city in the United States.

It can hold 300,000 gallons of water and is on the U.S. National Register of Historic Places.

At 134 feet, plus the flag poles, it has been standing tall for almost 100 years.

The moon showed its admiration by shining over the water tower.
