         The life and times of Mark and Paula Persons

Wednesday, December 25, 2013:  Christmas Day 

Jean and Dave Schaeffer invited Mark and Paula to their place for Christmas dinner.

Marvelous cooks.  What a treat.

Prime rib and much more. 

Arlene and John Fitzpatrick were invited too. 

They are a fun couple.

Then it was out on Gilbert Lake to lose some of the calories.

Cocoa the dog decided Mark was a good buddy to pull a stick with.

 
Soon the sun was setting and it was time to head back to the Schaeffer place. 

It was just past the shortest day of the year...about 8-1/2 hours of daylight with 15-1/2 hours of darkness.

Winter is here.  

Back at the Schaeffer's place there was a warm cozy fireplace.

Some were having a good time on the second floor balcony.

Christmas could not go by without Mark reading 'Twas the Night Before Christmas, a Visit From St. Nicholas.

He was joined by Jean Schaeffer who knows it by heart...not like Mark who has to look at his notes to get it right.

The group loved it while enjoying cookies and cake.
