Tuesday, October 8, 2013: 

There was an open house at the volunteer fire department in Aitkin, Minnesota.

Hundreds of people got the chance to learn how firemen do their jobs.

Like most kids, Mark contemplated being a fireman.  He settled on a career as a radio broadcast engineer instead.

That doesn't mean he can't sit behind the wheel of a fire truck and dream about it. 

This one looks like it was in use during his childhood.

Kids had fun pointing fires hoses.

Hmmm....do they have any firewomen in this department? 

It not, they may have one in the future.
