         The life and times of Mark and Paula Persons
Monday, September 23, 2013: Sunrise over the Mississippi River from the Mill Avenue bridge in northeast Brainerd.
 
Later that day, a new Gilbert Lodge sign was installed.  Stone artist Darci Thabes was commissioned by Mark and Paula earlier in the summer and the dream finally came true. 
Darci's company is Drawn in Stone.  The sign went at the lodge main door for everyone to see. 
Nipper the dog was looking out from the lodge warmth, through the entrance to find Josie the cat.  As you probably know, Nipper is often seen peering into a phonograph horn, hearing "His Master's Voice."
