The life and times of Mark and Paula Persons

Friday, August 30, 2013:  Mark visited the Pipestone National Monument at Pipestone, Minnesota.

This is the home of Native American peace pipes.

Even locals use this this three-quarter mile trail to walk on site.

It is a very tranquil scene.

There is a babbling brook wandering though.

The sound makes a person feel at peace.

Winnewissa Falls.

Just right for the venue.

Rock is quarried by hand.

No machines allowed here.

It is sawed and shaped into peace pipes by Native Americans.

Nicely crafted.

Quote of the day:  Glad I visited.   Mark    < Back to previous story Ahead to next story >
