         The life and times of Mark and Paula Persons

 

Sunday, August 18, 2013: 

Chef Paula was busy in the Gilbert Lodge Galley preparing her famous pork ribs for dinner that night.

She knows what she likes and she cooks it.

Her cooking is so good that people just keep asking for more.

 

On the plate, it was terrific with fresh locally grown corn, Paula's cabbage salad, and a roll.

Milk was served in a Minnesota Loon glass.

Oh, are we having company over?

 

You bet, it was Jim and Lynn Barry.

Chef Paula's dessert was lemon meringue pie to top off the meal.

Who could ask for more?

The Barry's will be living in Florida this winter. 

A good place to be when it is well below zero degrees in Minnesota.

They also went out on the Minnow on Gilbert Lake that day before playing a game of Apples to Apples

It is an easy and fun way to pass the time.  What's in your hand?

It is coming earlier each day as the summer tries to draw to a close.

Still has a ways to go though.
