         The life and times of Mark and Paula Persons

Friday, July 19, 2013: 

The annual Relay For Life fund raiser for the American Cancer Society was held at the Crow Wing County Fairgrounds this year.

Paula, along with other Brainerd Rotarians, was there early in the day to help setup the place.

 

Hundreds walked the track in the fund raiser.

Those in Blue T-shirts are cancer survivors.

 

Even good looking (most of the time) royalty were there to show their support as well.

Hannah Gaalswyk had her hair cut off to be made into wigs for cancer victims who loose their hair during treatment.

All 22 inches of it were cut off.

She wasn't too sure it was such a good idea after the hair was gone, but she survived the experience.
Mark's mother June is a cancer survivor.  Her candle-lit bag was one of many hundreds at the event that night.
