5, 2013: The annual antique car show was held at the Bodyworks in Brainerd. Collectors from all over came to show off their vintage vehicles. Leroy Albertson brought this 1934 Oldsmobile. |
Mark's friend Dave Schaeffer was
impressed by the 1932 Oldsmobile. A beautifully restored automobile. Imagine that, it sold for just over $1000 when it was new. |
Here is a 1929 Model A Ford truck. Probably looks better than the day it was new. |
On the foreign car side of the ledger, Mark found
this Subaru van. Mark is only 5 ft, 9 inches tall. This car is a lot shorter. It even has a driver door that opens to the front rather than the rear. Probably dangerous as heck in an accident. |
A ruby red car from the 1930's. Good size trunk too. |
Collectors really go all out to
make their entry look special. They love to show what they have. |
Yes, and oldie, but goodie. That phrase can often be applied to the owner as well. Most of the vehicles at the show were Fords. That company has a rich history of providing transportation to this country and the world. |
Interesting sunset that night. |
Quote of the day: You can never see too many classic cars and trucks. Mark | < Back to previous story | Ahead to next story > |
