Friday, May 10, 2013:   The ice finally melted on Gilbert Lake.

Last year, the ice went out on March 21st. 

Other recorded ice-outs were April 7, 2006, April 18, 2008, April 17, 2009, March 31, 2010, and April 20, 2011 

Now it is clear sailing for anyone who goes out.

Temperatures are still a bit cool though so it may be a week before boats appear on the water.

Gilbert Lodge is in the Land of the Sky Blue Water.

The dock needs to put in before the Minnow arrives.
Yes, it is spring. 

City crews were out flushing the water system. 

Good way to water the grass too.
