Sunday June 29, 2014:
Deep Diver Paula headed out to the depths of Gilbert Lake to look
around in the afternoon. She had Mark aboard the Minnow to look after her.....at least for a while.
|
Then it happened, Mark spotted two young ladies
with an outboard motor that would not start. He was the "man of the hour" swinging into action to tow the ladies back to port. When asked about the rescue, Mark said, "I specialize in damsels in distress!" Paula was not impressed. |
There had bee a high winds the
night before and two trees came down at the neighbor's place. |
Jerry Sinner was out cutting up
the remains of one tree, a nice oak. Great for firewood. |
Jerry's wife Claire handled branch
clearing. There is a job for everyone at the homestead
nowadays. The Sinners are wonderful people and great neighbors. No trees were lost at Gilbert Lodge, but the boat dock needed a little repair. No big deal. |
Quote of the day: Summer has its exciting moments. Mark | < Back to previous story | Ahead to next story > |
