It was time for the
Christmas Star to come down
from the top of the 65 foot communications tower at Gilbert Lodge. Mark climbed to the top to dismantle the five-foot high lighted star and light strings that went to the ground. He used a camera to photograph Paula on the ground. Fortunately the temperature was just above freezing with only a light wind. |
Ground Crew Paula was there to handle the lines
and wrap the light strings up. Always a job for two, the work took about an hour. Good exercise in the outdoors. |
Gilbert Lodge as seen from the tower. A portion of Gilbert Lake is visible beyond. The steel roof of Gilbert Lodge shed much of its snow onto the lower roof. |
Quote of the day: Never a dull moment around here! Mark | < Back to previous story | Ahead to next story > |
