Deep Diver
Paula and her SCUBA diving friends competed in the annual Underwater Pumpkin
Carving Contest sponsored by the
Minnesota School of Diving.
It all happened in an abandoned mine pit near Crosby, Minnesota, which is now a
lake.

Let's take a closer look.
The one on the left was carved by Jerry Swanson. Very cleverly
done.
Then Paula's with mice crawling in and out of it was declared the
"scariest," followed by Scuba Leslie's, which took the "best
overall" award.

Paula brought hers home to display
by the front entrance to Gilbert Lodge....complete with mice
crawling in and out.
On the top, there is a scary black bat.
