Classic Boat Show
at Bar Harbor
drew a large crowd of onlookers. Many wooden boat dating back to the early 1900's were there. |

Some more modern ones were on display like this
fiberglass runabout with twin 75 horse engines from the mid-1960's. Gosh, that was only 50 years ago! |

|
Boats with big inboard engines from the 1920's are
big attractions at events like this. It takes lots of money to own and maintain one of these. |

Ethyl-Ruth IV, on the left, has a V-16 engine with over 1000 horsepower. |

|
Yes, boating enthusiasts love these meticulously restored marvels. |
