         The life and times of Mark and Paula Persons
Saturday, June 29, 2013:  The second annual In-The-Water Boat Show was held at the Quarterdeck Resort on the west side of Gull Lake.

 

This was a show for new boats, put on by boat dealers.

There was a lot of great looking/expensive equipment in the water that day.

Even dogs like boat shows.

This one was very happy.

A four-piece live band was there to liven it up at bit.

Music goes well with an event like this.

Two whole-pigs were roasted over charcoal that day.

The pulled-pork sandwiches were excellent.

The Quarterdeck will be torn down to be replaced by a new timeshare facility.

The new place is scheduled to open in the spring of 2015. 

The Ethyl-Ruth IV showed up to delight visitors.  She is a wood boat with a V-16 super-charged engine and will likely be at the Gull Lake Classic Boat Show August 23-25, 2013.  See some scenes from last year on YouTube.
