May 24, 2026:  The first warm 80-degree day of spring. Mark and Paula set out aboard the Minnow on Gilbert Lake.



Lots of activity.





Lots of fishermen trying their luck too.





Then there it was, a turtle sunning itself in the reeds.



Minnesota's official state bird, the Loon is often spotted on Gilbert Lake.
