 March 2, 2026: When in Grand Marais, MN, you can dine like a local by having breakfast at the South of the Border Cafe. Image that, they have pancakes imprinted with a moose.  Mark and Paula headed to the Temperance River State Park.  The river was mostly frozen over, but there were a few open spots.  Headed south on Highway 61 through rugged terrain.  Snow was being cleared from a storm two weeks earlier. Most of the parking lot at Tettegouche was dry, but snowbanks remained.  One of the two tunnels on this route.  Yes Paula, there is light at the end of the tunnel.  More of the Lake Superior north shore. |
