February 28, 2025: Mark and Paula headed further up the north shore of Lake Superior through rugged terrain.



They stopped at Naniboujou Lodge to see the colorful restaurant.





Lots of people out enjoying the scenery.



Snowmobilers were in abundance too.



Lake Superior does not freeze over in the winter, but there is plenty ice along the shore.





The 120-foot waterfall on the Pigeon River at Grand Portage State Park. It is a half-mile hike in from the highway.
It was still flowing in zero degree temperatures.
