 February 27, 2026: North of Duluth, MN, on Highway 61 Someone lives at the top of that hill ahead.  One of the two tunnels along the way.  The rugged shoreline.  They arrived at Grand Marais where there is a bay and lighthouse.  Paula wanted to see the island, which is a piece of rugged land more or less connected to town.  A fierce storm had deposited ice on trees. You can see Grand Marais on the other side of the bay from here.  Paula was searching for the unusual as she crawled among the ice.  The island as seen from town.  Mark and Paula dined at the Angry Trout that evening. A fitting end to the day. |
